Help Seasoning Wok. First Attempt : AskCulinary
I’ve simply seasoned my first wok. It’s a School of Wok, uncoated carbon metal wok 12″ with a flat backside.
I scrubbed off the inital coating, heated after which implemented oil after which heated till the smoke stopped. When completed, one of the vital wok was once clean as I anticipated however a few of it was once lumpy with drip traces. I’m considering I’ve implemented an excessive amount of oil.

Have I implemented an excessive amount of oil? I’m now not positive whether or not I must blank with a sponge to get the surplus off and re-season or whether or not I must simply cook dinner some aromatics as Grace Young suggests. Any recommendation could be very welcome!
